• HIGHLIGHTS/ BALAYAGE/ OMBRE/ SOMBRE/ BABYLIGHTS/ MICROLIGHTS/ ETC: These terms are all the same when booking, which is under highlighting. Highlighting in general is LIGHTENING the hair and creating DIMENSION using lighter pieces. You can describe the type of highlighting you want but when booking, it’s all under the word HIGHLIGHTS. If you are coming in from no highlights, at least two sessions will give it a more saturated look.

  • PRO AND CONS OF AIR DRYING ONLY: The thicker your hair is, the harder your hair will be to dry super clean without using a blow dryer and a brush from time to time. The oils in your hair will stick to your scalp and a couple inches down, causing you to have a lot of residue and you hair will tend to get greasier quicker due to the existing oils that were not blow dried out. People who wait too long to wash will end up having grittier and dryer ends due to the debris from the air dust, causing more breakage. It will be good to at least once a week blow dry your hair with a round brush from root to end to clarify and remove as much old oils as possible. Do you ever wonder why after leaving a salon your hair tends to last an extra day or two without washing? :)

  • DO NOT WRAP YOUR HAIR UP WHILE ITS STILL WET: Putting your wet hair in a bun or tying it up will cause a build up of mildew in your cuticles. It’s very much similar to leaving a wet towel in a bag for couple days. ALSO another thing to consider is if you have bleached/highlighted hair, it’s much weaker when its wet. Keeping hair dry will make it 10 times stronger and keep it from breaking.
